A Night of Mixed News at Musgrave Park

The rain may have kept some folks away at Musgrave Park tonight, but the need for support remains high.

A Shortage of Tents

Unfortunately, I'm facing a critical shortage of tents. The number of calls and messages requesting them is overwhelming. It's a harsh reality: resources are stretched thin. We can only do as much as we have the means to do.

Community Support and Setbacks

Today's Coles run yielded another large haul of food and essential items. However, there was a disappointing discovery at the Brunswick Hotel – their pantry box had vanished! Thankfully, they assured me a replacement will be installed tomorrow. Huge thanks to the Brunswick Hotel for their ongoing commitment to the community through this pantry service. More businesses adopting this model would be fantastic!

Expanding Our Reach

Speaking of expansion, I'm looking to add more pantries to my regular route. If you're aware of any publicly accessible pantries in need of restocking, please leave a comment below. The more people we can reach, the better.

Combating Negativity

On a less positive note, there's been a surge in racist and insensitive comments on our page recently, coinciding with our growing follower base. Let me be clear: I simply don't have the time to engage with negativity. For those who disagree with our work or lack empathy for the individuals we support, "keep scrolling" is the best approach.

Our focus remains on providing resources and building a stronger community. Thank you to all who share our values and contribute to making a difference.
